Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all subscriptions purchased through The Design Phase platform. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated below or as required by applicable law.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all Subscriptions and purchases made through The Design Phase platform, operated by DDI - TheDesignPhase LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in this policy or as required by applicable law.

By subscribing to The Design Phase, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.

2. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. When you subscribe, you are charged for the current billing period in full.

If you cancel your Subscription, your access continues until the end of the paid billing period. No partial or pro-rated refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period.

Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from Workspace Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Access continues through the end of your current billing period.

No pro-ration: DDI does not issue pro-rated refunds for partial months under any circumstances.

Price changes: If DDI increases your subscription price, you will receive at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. You may cancel before the increase takes effect without penalty.

Failed payments: If a payment fails, DDI will attempt to collect for up to 7 days before suspending your account. Resolving the failed payment restores access immediately. No refund is issued for any period during which your account was suspended due to non-payment.

3. Free Trial

The 5-day free trial period is provided at no charge. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly plan and your payment method is charged at the applicable rate. This charge is non-refundable.

DDI reserves the right to limit trial eligibility to one trial per organisation and to terminate a trial without refund if misuse or abuse is detected.

4. Exceptions

DDI - TheDesignPhase LLC may issue a refund outside of this policy, at its sole and absolute discretion, in the following exceptional circumstances only:

Extended service outages: A verified outage of the platform lasting more than 72 consecutive hours caused directly by DDI (not by third-party infrastructure providers such as Supabase or Vercel) may qualify for a pro-rated credit against a future billing period. A credit is not a cash refund.

Duplicate charges: A verified billing error resulting in duplicate charges for the same billing period will be refunded in full.

Charges after cancellation: A verified charge made after a properly submitted and confirmed cancellation will be refunded in full.

To request an exception refund, contact support@thedesignphase.app within 30 days of the charge with your account email, a description of the charge, and the reason for your request. DDI will respond within 5 business days. DDI's determination is final.

5. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or bank without first contacting DDI, DDI reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account pending resolution of the dispute.

We strongly encourage you to contact support@thedesignphase.app before initiating any dispute. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and directly.

If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms, DDI reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under the exceptions described in Section 4, email support@thedesignphase.app with: (1) your account email address; (2) the date and amount of the charge; (3) a description of the reason for your request.

We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Refund processing times are subject to your card issuer or bank and may take 5–10 business days to appear.
