1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so that you do not have to re-authenticate on every page load.
Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (retained on your device until they expire or you delete them). They can also be "first-party" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by a different domain).
2. Cookies We Use
The Design Phase currently uses only one category of first-party cookie: the authentication session cookie.
Name: sb-auth-token (and related Supabase auth cookies prefixed with "sb-"). Purpose: Authentication — this cookie stores your encrypted session token, allowing you to remain logged in as you navigate between pages. Without this cookie, you would be required to sign in on every page.
Type: Session / short-lived persistent (the session refreshes automatically while you are active). Duration: Expires after a period of inactivity or when you sign out. Legal basis: Strictly necessary — this cookie is essential for the platform to function and does not require consent under applicable ePrivacy law.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any other non-essential cookies at this time.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Stripe: When you proceed through the Stripe checkout flow (to start a subscription or update billing details), Stripe may set its own cookies on your device. These cookies are set by Stripe's domain and are used by Stripe for fraud detection, security, and session management during the checkout process. DDI - TheDesignPhase LLC does not control these cookies. Please refer to Stripe's Cookie Policy for details.
Other than Stripe during the checkout flow, no third-party cookies are set when you use The Design Phase platform.
4. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, block, and delete cookies through the browser settings menu. Instructions for common browsers can be found at: Chrome (chrome://settings/cookies), Firefox (about:preferences#privacy), Safari (Preferences > Privacy), and Edge (edge://settings/cookies).
If you delete or block the DDI authentication cookie (sb-auth-token), you will be signed out of the platform and will need to sign in again. The platform cannot function without this cookie.
Blocking or deleting Stripe cookies will not affect your ability to use The Design Phase platform, but may affect the Stripe checkout experience.
5. Changes
We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies — for example, if we add analytics tools in the future. We will provide notice of any material changes via email or a notice on the platform.
Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Cookie Policy.
